Everyone starts somewhere! Our beginner Latin dance track assumes zero previous dance or musical background. We break down the 8-count timing, weight transfers, and basic turns into simple, repeatable movements. By the end of your first class, you will be dancing a full partner sequence.
Salsa is high-energy with quick footwork and complex arm patterns on a 6-count rhythm. Bachata is smoother, more sensual, and danced on a steady 4-count beat, making it significantly easier for beginners to pick up and enjoy on social dance floors.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in (casual activewear, jeans, or dress shirts). For footwear, smooth-soled shoes, dance sneakers, or low heels that allow you to pivot easily on hardwood floors are best. Avoid heavy rubber running shoes that grip too hard.
Our studio is located at 5610 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 — just 10-15 minutes from Downtown Denver, Highlands, LoHi, Arvada, and Lakewood, with free dedicated parking.
