Dynamic Bachata does not run a dedicated couples group class — but there are real options for couples who want to learn bachata together. Private lessons are the most effective format: your instructor works directly with both of you, addressing your specific lead/follow dynamic rather than teaching to a room. Group classes are also an option — couples are welcome at any level and can choose to dance together or rotate with other students.
Whether you are preparing for your wedding first dance or just want to learn bachata together, private lessons give you focused coaching built around the two of you. Sessions are $120 / hour.
Private lessons are the best format for couples. Your instructor can address both of you — the lead and the follow — in one focused session, working on your specific dynamic rather than a generic class.
We choreograph wedding first-dance bachata routines for couples preparing for their big day. Sessions are paced to your timeline, and we work with the song you have already chosen.
If only one of you wants to learn right now, our group classes are solo-friendly — we rotate partners in every class. Your partner can join later and you will already have a head start.
Couples are welcome in any of our regular group classes. You can choose to stay together as partners or rotate with other students — both approaches are valid and both help you grow.
One-on-one instruction tailored to you as a couple. Your instructor focuses on your specific lead/follow dynamic, corrects what is holding you back, and designs a session around your goals — wedding prep, social dancing, or pure technique.

Is there a dedicated couples group class?
No. We do not run a separate couples group class. Couples are welcome in any of our regular group classes, and private lessons are the best format when you want instruction tailored specifically to your dynamic as a pair.
What does a private couples lesson look like?
Your instructor works with both of you for the full session. They will assess your current lead/follow connection, identify what is working and what is not, and give each of you targeted corrections. Sessions can focus on social dancing fundamentals, a specific technique goal, or wedding choreography.
How many private lessons do we need for a wedding first dance?
It depends on your starting point and the complexity of the choreography you want. Most couples need between four and eight sessions to feel confident with a full first-dance routine. Contact us with your wedding date and we can recommend a timeline.
Can one of us come to group class while the other is not ready?
Absolutely. Our group classes do not require you to bring a partner. You will rotate with other students and build your individual skills. When your partner is ready to join, they can start at the appropriate level.
