Student performance teams, styling groups, and a community built around bachata.
Every path to our performance teams starts in the same place — a regular class. Try us free for a full week, no credit card required, and see why Denver dancers choose Dynamic Bachata Dance Company.
Dynamic Bachata Dance Company is a Denver-metro studio and dance community dedicated to bachata, sensual bachata, and Latin social partner dance. We are not a touring professional company — we are something more accessible than that: a place where real adults at every level can learn to dance well, connect with others, and eventually step on a stage.
Our instructors teach structured weekly classes, run social dance nights, and lead three active performance and styling teams. Whether you want to become a confident social dancer or you have always wanted to be part of a dance team, this is where that journey starts.
We serve the greater Denver metro from our studio at 6708 W 44th Ave in Wheat Ridge, CO — easy to reach from Denver, Lakewood, Arvada, and surrounding neighborhoods.
We run three active student teams, each focused on a different dimension of bachata. All teams are led by our experienced instructors and are open to students who have built a solid foundation through regular class attendance.
This team focuses on elevating your social dance skills to performance level. Members work on connection, musicality, lead/follow technique, and performing bachata in front of an audience — the same way you would at a social event, but polished and intentional.
Who it's for: Students who have developed a foundation in bachata and want to deepen their social dance artistry and perform alongside others.
The Ladies Styling Team is dedicated to developing individual expression on the dance floor. Members explore body movement, arm styling, footwork accents, and feminine musicality that make every dance uniquely theirs.
Who it's for: Ladies who want to own their style, move with confidence, and express themselves beyond the basics.
Men Styling develops the leading side of bachata with an emphasis on body movement, frame, footwork, and stage presence. Members sharpen the subtleties that separate a good dancer from a great one.
Who it's for: Guys who want to go beyond patterns and build the body awareness and presence that makes every partner want to dance with them again.
No one joins a performance team on day one. Here is the honest path that gets students from their first class to performing alongside their teammates:
The timeline is different for everyone. Some students are ready for a team within a year; others prefer to stay in the social dance community indefinitely — and that is equally valid. What matters is that there is a clear path if you want it.
Our teams perform throughout the year at studio showcases and local events. These productions give students a real performance experience — rehearsals, costumes, staging, and an audience — in a low-pressure, community-focused environment.
Between showcases, the studio runs regular social nights where students practice what they have learned in a real social dance setting. This is where the classroom work becomes genuine connection on the dance floor.

Do I need experience to join a performance team?
Yes — all of our performance and styling teams require a working foundation in bachata. The path always starts in our regular classes. Once you have built your skills and your instructors see you are ready, they will invite you to audition or try out a team rehearsal.
How do I audition or join a team?
There is no cold audition process. The fastest route is to enroll in classes, attend consistently, and let your instructors get to know your dancing. Instructors actively look for students who show up, work hard, and are a good fit for the team environment. Ask at the front desk or after class if you are interested.
Is there an extra cost for being on a team?
Team membership details — including any rehearsal fees or costume requirements — vary by team and season. The best way to get current information is to speak directly with our instructors or send us a message through the website. Starting in regular classes is always the first step and follows our standard class pricing.
Do the teams perform publicly?
Yes. Our teams perform at local showcases, studio events, and community productions throughout the year. Performances give students a real stage experience in a supportive, community-focused setting. Check our events page for upcoming showcase dates.
