Denver's Premier Bachata Dance Studio - Just 15 Minutes from Lakewood
Living in Lakewood and searching for something new, social, and genuinely fun? Dynamic Bachata is Denver's dedicated bachata dance studio, and we're just a quick 15-minute drive east from most Lakewood neighborhoods. Whether you're near Belmar, Green Mountain, or Union Blvd, getting to our studio is a straight shot via 6th Ave or Colfax.
Lakewood residents love having a reason to head into Denver for the evening - and bachata is one of the best reasons we can think of. It's a Dominican partner dance that's romantic, rhythmic, and surprisingly easy to pick up. No dance experience required. Just bring an open mind and comfortable shoes, and we'll handle the rest.
Our studio is located at 950 Jersey St in Denver, easily accessible from anywhere in Lakewood. Here are the most common routes our Lakewood students take:
From Belmar / West Lakewood: Head east on 6th Ave (US-6) toward Denver. It's a direct route with no turns - you'll be at the studio in about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
From Green Mountain / South Lakewood: Take Alameda Ave or Jewell Ave east to Colorado Blvd, then head north. About 15 minutes door to door.
From Union Blvd / North Lakewood: Take Colfax Ave (US-40) east straight into Denver. Simple, direct, about 15 minutes. Many Lakewood students prefer this route because it avoids highways entirely.
Free parking: Unlike heading to downtown Denver, parking at our studio is completely free. Pull up, park, and walk right in. No circling blocks, no feeding meters, no garage fees.
We understand that Lakewood residents have full lives - work, families, and everything that comes with living in one of Denver's best suburbs. That's why we offer evening classes Monday through Saturday, giving you plenty of flexibility to find a time that works.
Most of our Lakewood students pick one or two weeknight classes and make it part of their weekly routine. The 15-minute drive feels effortless once you've experienced the energy of a bachata class. Some couples use it as their weekly date night, while others come solo and treat it as personal time away from the daily grind.
Saturday classes are another favorite among Lakewood dancers - a great way to kick off the weekend with some music, movement, and good energy before heading back west.
If you work in downtown Denver or the tech center, stop by the studio on your way home to Lakewood. Take a class during the evening rush, let traffic die down, and drive home feeling energized instead of stressed. It's the best commute hack our Lakewood students have found.

Claim Your Free Week →Our studio at 950 Jersey St in Denver is about 15-20 minutes from most Lakewood neighborhoods. From Belmar, it's roughly 15 minutes via 6th Ave. From Green Mountain, about 15 minutes via Alameda. The drive is straightforward with no complicated highway interchanges, and parking is free when you arrive.
Not at all. About 70% of our students come alone. We rotate partners during every class, so you'll dance with multiple people each session. Coming solo actually helps you learn faster because you adapt to different partners. Many of our Lakewood students started alone and have made lasting friendships through class.
That's exactly who our beginner classes are designed for. Most of our students had zero dance experience when they walked in the door. Bachata is one of the most beginner-friendly partner dances - the basic step is simple, the rhythm is intuitive, and our instructors Diego and Yuyu break everything down into small, manageable pieces. If you can walk, you can learn bachata.
Comfortable clothes you can move in - jeans or leggings and a t-shirt work great. For shoes, bring something with a smooth sole that won't stick to the floor. Sneakers are perfect for beginners. As you progress, you might want dance shoes, but there's zero pressure to buy them. We have a changing area if you want to swap outfits before class.
Over 500 students have started their bachata journey with us since 2023. Most of them said the same thing after their first class: "I wish I'd done this sooner."
Don't wait. Your first week is free. The only way to know if bachata is for you is to try it.
